Ingredients: 200 grams of peas, ½ tbsp white tahini, juice of ½ lemon, handful of fresh basil, salt and pepper to taste.

Step 1

Boil the peas in a saucepan in a layer of water for about 10 minutes until done.

Step 2

Drain the peas and let them drain well.

Step 3

Place the peas in your food processor, blender or tall measuring cup and add the other ingredients. Puree into a smooth smoothie. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.

Step 4

Spoon your spread into a glass jar and store covered in the refrigerator. Shelf life: approximately 3 days.

Step 5

Use this spread in a salad or spread it on your sourdough sandwiches.
